The Art of the Balanced Plate

Hi Adelle Nutrition,

One of the simplest ways to improve your nutrition, and how your body absorbs food, is by balancing your plate.

Making little adjustments to each meal can dramatically change how your body processes what you eat. Depending on the balance, your plate can either:

  1. Cause a sharp blood sugar spike, leaving you feeling fatigued, foggy, distracted, and more likely to store fat.
    OR

  2. Support stable blood sugar, giving you steady energy, sharper focus, fewer sugar cravings, better sleep, and easier weight loss or maintenance.

I don’t know about you, but I like the second option!

Eating the right mix of foods consistently overtime helps us to:

  • Stabilise energy levels

  • Manage weight

  • Reduce PCOS symptoms

  • Improve mood

  • Slow ageing

  • Avoid the onset of MANY diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease

So, what is the right mix of food?

Having the right mix is all about balancing your plate, and it’s actually quite simple. Most likely, you’ll only need to make small adjustments to your diet to see significant benefits!

Here are some ideas to help you get started:

So you don’t have to ditch your favourite foods to be healthy or reach your goals, just find the right foods to pair them with!

I know how much time it can take to figure out what to eat when you’re on a mission to improve your health, so I’ve put together go-to recipe book with balanced meals and snacks to keep you on track.
